Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies SoloToolkit uses and how to control them. Cookies are small files a website stores on your device; some are needed for the site to work, others are only set once you agree to them.

What we set

• Strictly necessary. One entry in your browser's local storage (ss-consent-v2) remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every page. Cloudflare, our host, may set a security cookie to protect the site from abuse. These do not require consent because without them the site cannot work properly.
• Analytics — consent required. Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) tells us which articles people actually read. IP addresses are anonymised and the data is retained for 14 months. Nothing is set until you accept.
• Advertising — consent required. Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to select, cap and measure the ads you see, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. If you reject, Google is instructed to serve non-personalised ads only.
• Affiliate attribution. When you click an affiliate link and land on a partner's site (for example Amazon), that partner sets a cookie so a purchase can be credited to us. That cookie is set by them, on their domain, under their policy — not by us. See our affiliate disclosure.

How consent works here

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you choose, advertising and analytics storage are set to denied, so Google's tags load without writing identifying cookies. Choosing Accept all upgrades them; choosing Reject all keeps them denied for as long as your choice is stored.

Changing your mind

Use the Open cookie settings button above, or the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalised advertising directly with Google at Google Ads Settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop parts of the site working.
