Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data SoloToolkit ("we", "us") collects when you visit solotoolkit.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. SoloToolkit is operated by Marc Casco, an independent publisher. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Usage and device data. Pages viewed, referring page, approximate location (country/city level), browser, device type and operating system — collected through Google Analytics 4, and only when you have consented to analytics cookies.
  • Advertising data. Google and its partners may collect identifiers and browsing data to select and measure ads. See Advertising and Google AdSense below.
  • Email address. Only if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, or you email us directly.
  • Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is necessary for the site to work and does not depend on consent.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal data. We do not sell personal data.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To operate and secure the site — legitimate interest.
  • To measure traffic and understand which articles help people — your consent.
  • To show advertising, including personalised advertising — your consent.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for — your consent, which you can withdraw from any email.
  • To reply to your messages — legitimate interest.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertising on this site. The following disclosures apply:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Third parties may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information in the course of serving ads on this site.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • For details of how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, our consent banner uses Google Consent Mode: advertising and analytics storage default to denied and are only enabled after you accept. If you reject, Google serves non-personalised ads only. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings.

Who processes data on our behalf

  • Google Ireland/LLC — advertising (AdSense) and analytics (GA4).
  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and security.
  • MailerLite — newsletter delivery, if you subscribe.
  • Affiliate networks (for example Amazon Associates and the vendors we link to) — attribution cookies when you click an affiliate link. See our affiliate disclosure.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA/UK it is covered by the providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe, and are removed within 30 days of doing so. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than two years.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are a California resident you have the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising — which on this site you do by rejecting advertising cookies.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Cookies

A full list of the cookie categories we use, and how to control them, is in our cookie policy.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Newsletter API credentials are held as server-side secrets and never exposed to your browser. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold.

Children

This site is aimed at adults running their own businesses. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
